Genesis.

The XP3 proved the ideas. The Mach One would prove the business. Between them sat a question every small manufacturer dreads: when a hundred boards' worth of parts arrive from a dozen suppliers, do they actually go together?

Genesis was the answer — a short pre-production run built in early 2024 to validate every fit, every finish and every assembly step before the Mach One production run was committed. Real boards, real owners, real kilometres. Not prototypes: the dress rehearsal with a paying audience.

Officially, Genesis was a limited run of ten numbered boards. Unofficially — because engineers count from zero — there was also board #00. A tongue-in-cheek nod that became the most sought-after board Radium has ever built.

Every Genesis board carried its own numbered badge, machined and fitted by hand. Eleven boards went out; every one of them still rides.

Board #00 was auctioned at Esk8Con in Las Vegas, where it sold for approximately $13,000 AUD — believed to be the most ever paid for a production electric skateboard.

For a company that started with two riders sketching what a board should be, watching the room bid on #00 was the moment the outside world confirmed what Genesis was built to prove: this thing was real, and it was ready.

Genesis did its job. The fits were confirmed, a handful of assembly refinements were fed straight back into the drawings, and the Mach One production run — one hundred individually numbered boards — went ahead on the foundation Genesis laid. Every Mach One carries decisions that were locked in by those eleven boards.
