Tips for common scenarios
We continually track rider feedback and field reports to refine the Mach One. Below are the latest notes from engineering, with current solutions.
Motor pulley grub screws can come loose.
Periodically check if the pulley is moveable. If it's loose, remove the grub screws, clean them with a solvent, and reinstall with a healthy amount of medium-strength Loctite.
Thane belts rub against wheel.
Use 1-2 shim washers to space the wheel further from the hanger to ensure sufficient clearance.
Loose deck bolts on arrival.
Deck bolts may have loosened as the gasket compressed during shipping. Double-check that they are firm upon arrival.
Orange colour suspension bushing failures.
A 30% failure rate due to manufacturing inconsistency has been observed with the orange suspension bushings. If the bushing splits, contact us and we'll send replacements. New bushings are in the works.
Enclosure thread inserts may twist out.
Do not use anything stronger than low-strength purple Loctite on deck bolts. Do not remove or tighten deck bolts with power tools.
App “Reset to defaults” button on RTS page sets wrong values.
Do not use this button. Set your preferred values manually.
App RTS on/off status is buggy.
Don't rely on what it says — just set it to what you want until we bring out an update.
