Mach One — Instruction Manual
Everything you need to set up, ride, maintain and service your Mach One. Read the safety section before your first ride.
Safety First
For your safety and best experience, read this entire manual before riding. Electric skateboarding carries inherent risk of serious injury. Always ride within your ability and local law.
- Always wear a helmet and protective gear.
- Do not exceed the weight limit in the specifications.
- Ensure both the remote and the Mach One battery are charged before riding.
- Ride in a safe environment away from heavy traffic.
- Follow all local laws and regulations for electric skateboards.
- Do not ride if you are under the age of 14.
- Do not ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Never rely solely on the brakes — control your speed by carving and always think ahead.
- Always check that all screws are tight and nothing is loose before every ride.
- Always respect pedestrians.
Battery Safety & Care
- Do not charge the board unattended.
- Only use the charger supplied by Radium for the Mach One.
- Do not leave the board with an empty battery for more than 2 weeks.
- For storage, keep the battery between 50–80% charge and top it up every few months.

Board Overview
The Mach One is built around an F1-inspired carbon fibre monocoque — a hollow, load-bearing carbon tub that doubles as the deck. Power comes from twin Radium 6485 motors (205 kv) driven by a dual MakerX DV6s ESC and a 12S6P Molicel P42A battery.
The board's defining feature is RTS (Radium Torque Steering) — a patented torque-vectoring system that meters power to each wheel independently, linked to your lean. It rides on swing-arm suspension and Precision R6 trucks, and is controlled by the Hoyt Puck remote.
The power / status indicator and charge behaviour are described in the sections below. RTS tuning is handled through the Radium app.
Charging
- Use only the charger supplied by Radium to avoid damage.
- Set the charger's voltage selector to match your country (see note below). The selector is on the side of the charger — use a flat-head screwdriver to flip it.
- Connect the charger to the board's charge port, then plug it into a wall outlet.
- The charger shows a red light while charging and turns green when fully charged.
Voltage selector. 240V countries: Australia, UK, New Zealand, India, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Ireland, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Zimbabwe. 120V countries: USA, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Cuba, Saudi Arabia.
Do not charge unattended. Only use the Radium-supplied charger. Do not leave the board fully discharged for more than 2 weeks.
Powering On & Off
- Press the ON/OFF button on top of the rear swing arm. A red indicator light shows the board is on.
- Press and hold the power button on the Hoyt Puck remote, keeping the trigger in neutral (no forward or backward pressure). Once connected the remote gives a single beep and a green light. A flashing blue light and vibration means the remote is not paired — see Pairing.
- Lift the rear of the board so the wheels are off the ground. Roll the trigger forward to accelerate and backward to brake — confirm braking works before riding.
- To ride: roll the trigger forward and lean onto your front foot to accelerate; roll it backward and shift toward your back foot to brake.
The Hoyt Puck Remote
Power on / off
Press and hold Power until the remote vibrates and the LEDs turn on. Press and hold Power again to switch off.
Lock mode (safe mode)
Lock mode disables the throttle and brake so you can carry the remote without accidental input. Double-click Power — a solid blue LED means locked. Double-click Power again to unlock. Handy for temporary stops and setup without fully powering off.
Ride modes
With the remote and board on, press the M button to cycle ride modes: Slow (1 buzz), Medium (2 buzzes), Fast (3 buzzes). Modes limit acceleration and throttle sensitivity — not top speed.
Left / right-handed
The remote is right-handed by default.
- With the remote and board both on, press and hold the R button until you feel a buzz — the remote is now left-handed.
- Lift the rear wheels off the ground and test: roll forward to accelerate, backward to brake.
Pairing
- With the board powered off, press and hold R + M + Power together — the remote vibrates and the LED flashes to show pairing mode.
- Turn on the board with the remote close by. When paired, the flashing and vibration stop.
Remote battery indicator
Press Power while connected to the board to check the remote battery:

Never ride with a low remote battery. Losing remote power means losing both throttle and braking.
Smart reverse
Come to a complete stop, then pull and hold the brake trigger fully. After about 2–3 seconds the board enters a slow, controlled reverse. Reverse will not engage unless you are fully stopped with the brake held all the way in. To stop, ease off the trigger gently — the board brakes automatically. Intended for tight spots and repositioning, not extended reverse riding.
Riding & RTS
RTS (Radium Torque Steering) continuously meters torque between the two motors based on your lean, giving power-steering-like agility and grip through corners. Ride modes (Slow / Medium / Fast) set how aggressively power is delivered. Deeper tuning — ride profiles and RTS behaviour — is done in the Radium app.
Detailed Radium app setup instructions are being finalised and will be added here.
Maintenance
Run through this checklist regularly, and always confirm nothing is loose before a ride.

Tuning — Trucks & Suspension
Truck bushings
- Install bushings in the correct cone/barrel arrangement for your setup.
- Lightly grease the kingpin and pivot tube for smooth, quiet articulation.
- Inspect for cracks, flattening or loss of rebound — replace when degraded.
- Adjust the kingpin nut so the bushing compresses slightly: too tight is stiff and unstable, too loose is wobbly.
- Softer bushings turn more easily; harder bushings add high-speed stability.
Suspension bushings
- Check the placement of bushings, washers and spacers.
- Grease the bushing contact points and pivot interfaces.
- Route the RTS wire so it is not pinched by suspension hardware.
- Set pre-load tension for your weight and desired stiffness.
- Aftermarket bushings such as Riptide Rebound are supported. Supplied: 90A (hard), 80A (soft); 85A are used in the swing-arm stack.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | What to do |

| Board won't charge | Connect to the BMS in the Radium app, plug in the charger and confirm it's on. Screenshot the cell voltages and temperatures and send them to Radium Support. |
| Pulls to one side under power | Turn off RTS and test again. Lift the board and check both motors spin. If it persists, contact Radium Support. |
| Flashing power button | Overheating — let the board cool. |
| Clicking sound | Check the motor pulleys for rocks or debris. |
Servicing & Replacement Guides
The Mach One is designed to be serviced. The deck is a top cover held by 8× M5×16 titanium screws (3 mm hex) — no power tools. Motor and ESC work is configured with the VESC Tool (v6.02) for the MakerX DV6s. The step-by-step guides below cover each procedure.

Warranty
The Mach One is covered by a 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery.
Covered
- Manufacturing defects in the deck, trucks, motors, mounts, battery, ESC and electronics.
- Structural issues with the enclosure or mounting hardware under normal riding.
- Parts that fail due to workmanship or material flaws.
Not covered
- Normal wear (grip tape, bearings, wheels, bushings).
- Damage from water, impacts, crashes or modifications.
- Issues from improper use, lack of maintenance or third-party components.
- Gradual battery capacity loss over time.
To make a claim, contact Radium with your order details and a description of the issue (photos or video if requested). Remote diagnostics are attempted first. Shipping to and from service is the customer's responsibility. Warranty is non-transferable and covers the original purchaser only.
