About This Manual

Note

The Mach One S is a different board from the flagship Mach One — it has its own deck, battery, motors and remote (the Radium × Jecnn remote, not the Hoyt Puck). This manual currently covers the remote, setup and maintenance in full. The complete board reference (box contents, full electrical specs and warranty detail) is being finalised from William's board manual and will be added here.

Safety First

Warning

Read this manual before riding. Electric skateboarding carries inherent risk of serious injury. Ride within your ability and local law, and always wear protective gear.

  • Always wear a helmet and protective gear.
  • Ensure both the remote and the board are charged before riding.
  • Ride in a safe environment away from heavy traffic, and follow local laws.
  • Do not ride under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Never rely solely on the brakes — carve to control speed and think ahead.
  • Check that all screws are tight and nothing is loose before every ride.
  • Become familiar with the board in L (beginner) mode before using higher modes.
  • Always respect pedestrians.

The Remote — Radium × Jecnn

The Mach One S uses the Radium × Jecnn remote — a screen-based unit with a throttle wheel (not a trigger). The display shows speed, ride mode, drive configuration, both battery levels and live ride data.

Powering on & off

  1. Press and hold the remote Power button for 2 seconds to switch it on.
  2. Press and hold the Mach One S power button for 2 seconds. Once connected, the remote shows the main riding screen and gives a short vibration.
  3. To switch off, press and hold the remote Power button for 2 seconds. The board can be switched off independently by holding its power button for 2 seconds while stationary.
Note

If the remote has been paired before, it reconnects automatically when both devices are on. If the remote is switched off while the board is still on, the board applies regenerative braking and powers down after 5 minutes of inactivity. Both devices auto power off after 5 minutes idle while stationary.

Pairing

The remote is factory-paired. Follow these steps only when pairing a replacement remote. The power-button location may vary by configuration.

  1. With both devices off, press and hold the Mach One S power button for 5 seconds until the status indicator flashes red.
  2. Press and hold the remote Power button for 5 seconds — the display enters pairing mode.
  3. Select 2WD or 4WD with the throttle wheel, then press Power to confirm. Two short vibrations followed by one long vibration confirm pairing.
  4. Configure vehicle settings when prompted: speed unit, motor type, wheel diameter, drive ratio, motor pole pairs and brake strength. Rotate the throttle wheel to navigate; press Power to confirm.
Warning

If you are unsure which vehicle settings to use, contact Radium Performance Support before riding.

Throttle

The throttle wheel controls acceleration and braking: roll it forward to accelerate, backward to brake. The further you move it, the greater the force. Before powering on, make sure the wheel is centred in neutral — if throttle input is detected at startup, the remote stays disabled until it returns to neutral.

Drive modes

Press the Function button once to cycle drive modes (only when the throttle is neutral):

ModeDescription
LControlled acceleration for new riders.
EBalanced performance for everyday riding.
SIncreased acceleration and response.
S+Maximum performance — experienced riders only.
Warning

Get familiar with the board in L mode before moving up. Higher speeds require greater braking distance and rider awareness.

Reverse

Double-press the Function button to switch between forward and reverse; the remote vibrates once and the direction indicator updates. Direction can only be changed when the board is travelling below 3 km/h and the throttle is neutral.

Cruise control

  1. Accelerate to your desired speed.
  2. Hold the throttle wheel in position.
  3. Press the Power button once — the cruise indicator appears. Move the throttle wheel to disengage.
Warning

Use cruise control only in safe, predictable conditions. Stay alert and ready to take control at any time.

Ride data

Press the Power button to cycle the ride-data screens:

  • Odometer (ODO) and trip distance
  • Battery voltage & current
  • ESC temperature and motor temperature
  • Motor speed (RPM)
  • Drive mode, gear ratio, wheel diameter and motor pole pairs

Charging the remote

Charge with the supplied USB-C cable — a full charge takes about 4 hours. For maximum battery life, use the supplied cable; fast charging is not recommended.

Battery status

The remote shows a 5-level indicator for itself and a 10-segment indicator (≈10% each) for the board.

  • Remote below 10%: low-battery warning, two vibrations. Below 5%: critical warning, two vibrations. At minimum voltage the remote vibrates once and powers off.
  • Board below 25%: low-battery warning. Below 10%: critical warning. Performance reduces as the battery drops; at 0% acceleration is disabled but braking remains. Recharge as soon as the critical warning appears.
Warning

Always ensure the remote has enough charge before riding — a low remote battery can cause loss of control.

Settings

Quick settings — press the Function button 5 times to adjust drive configuration (2WD/4WD), speed unit and brake strength. Advanced settings — press the Function button 8 times. These are factory calibrated for the Mach One S.

Warning

Only change advanced settings if instructed by Radium Performance. Items marked “do not change” (speed mode, motor run mode, battery cells/type, motor direction) can make the board unsafe or inoperable.

04

Charging

Coming soon

Board charging times, charger specification and battery-care detail for the Mach One S are being finalised from William's board manual and will be added here. As a general rule, use only the supplied charger, don't charge unattended, and store between 50–80% charge.

05

Maintenance — Front Axle & Wheels

When refitting a front wheel:

  1. Install 1 washer, then the bearing spacer, on the inside of the wheel.
  2. Install 2 washers on the outside of the wheel.
  3. Tighten the wheel nut until firmly secured with no side-to-side play, while the wheel still spins smoothly.
Warning

For Radium wheel nuts, always use the supplied plastic adapter or a multi-point socket. The wrong tool can damage the nut's finish or edges.

06

Troubleshooting

Warranty

The Mach One S is covered by Radium's 12-month limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of delivery. Normal wear, water damage, impacts, modifications and gradual battery capacity loss are not covered. To make a claim, contact Radium with your order details; remote diagnostics are attempted first. Final Mach One S warranty terms will be confirmed here.
