Powering On & Off
Your remote and board leave the factory paired to each other. Powering on automatically connects them, and in daily use the remote is the only switch you touch.
Starting from cold
When the board is fully powered down, bring both to life:
- Hold the remote Power Button for 2 seconds.
- Hold the board Power Button for 2 seconds.
A short vibration confirms the remote is connected — you're ready to ride.
Everyday use
Once connected, the remote handles the board's power for you:
- Turn the remote off and the board powers down with it, settling into a low-power standby for 24 hours.
- Turn the remote back on within 24 hours and the board wakes with it — automatically. You never reach for the board.
- After 24 hours the board powers down fully; start it from cold again.
You can still power the board down at the board itself. If you do, the remote shows DISCONNECTED and vibrates once.
Drive Modes
Four modes, from measured to maximum. Press the Function Button once to step through them; each press is confirmed by a short vibration and shown on screen.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| L | Controlled acceleration for new riders. |
| E | Balanced performance for everyday riding. |
| S | Sharper acceleration and response. |
| S+ | Maximum performance. Experienced riders only. |
Drive modes can only be changed while the throttle wheel is in neutral.
Learn the board in L Mode before progressing. Higher speeds demand greater braking distances and rider awareness.
Direction Control
Switching direction
Double-press the Function Button to switch between forward and reverse. The remote vibrates once and the direction indicator updates. Double-press again to return to forward.
Direction can only be changed below 3 km/h with the throttle wheel in neutral.
Smart Reverse
No buttons required. With the board stopped, hold full brake and it eases into a slow, speed-limited reverse. Ease off the throttle wheel to stop.
Cruise Control
Hold a constant speed without keeping pressure on the throttle wheel.
Activate
- Accelerate to your desired speed.
- Hold the throttle wheel in position.
- Press the Power Button once. The Cruise Control indicator appears.
Cancel
Move the throttle wheel forward or backward to disengage immediately.
Use Cruise Control only in safe, predictable conditions. Stay alert and ready to take back control at any moment.
Ride Data
Press the Power Button to cycle through the ride-data screens and view real-time information:
- Odometer (ODO)
- Trip distance
- Battery voltage & current
- ESC temperature
- Motor temperature
- Motor speed (RPM)
- Drive mode
- Gear ratio
- Wheel diameter
- Motor pole pairs
Battery Status
Remote battery
A 5-level indicator shows the remaining charge.
- Below 10% — a low-battery warning shows and the remote vibrates twice.
- 5% or below — a critical warning shows and the remote vibrates twice again.
- At minimum operating voltage the remote vibrates once, then powers off automatically.
Always ride with the remote sufficiently charged. A flat remote battery can mean loss of control.
Board battery
A 10-segment indicator shows the remaining charge, each segment roughly 10%.
- Below 25% — a low-battery warning shows and the remote vibrates twice.
- Below 10% — a critical warning shows and the remote vibrates twice again.
- Available performance reduces progressively as the battery drops.
- At 0%, acceleration is disabled while braking remains available.
Recharge the board as soon as a critical warning appears.
Riding
The throttle wheel controls acceleration and braking.
- Roll forward to accelerate.
- Roll backward to brake.
- The further the wheel travels, the greater the acceleration or braking force.
The throttle must be centred in neutral at power-on. If input is detected during startup, the remote stays disabled and displays a warning until the throttle returns to neutral.
Charging the Remote
Charge the remote with the supplied USB-C cable. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
For maximum battery life, use the supplied USB-C cable. Fast charging is not recommended.
Settings
Quick Settings
Press the Function Button five times to switch the speed unit between km/h and mph. The remote confirms and returns to the ride-data screen.
Advanced Settings
Press the Function Button eight times to open Advanced Settings. Rotate the throttle wheel to browse, press Power to edit a setting and again to go back, and press Function to save and exit.
Advanced Settings are factory-calibrated for your board. Only change them if instructed by Radium Performance.

Pairing a Replacement Remote
Your remote is paired at the factory. Follow these steps only when pairing a replacement remote.
1. Enter pairing mode
With both devices off, hold the board Power Button for 5 seconds until the LED ring begins flashing rapidly.
2. Pair the remote
Hold the remote Power Button for 5 seconds. The display enters pairing mode. Two short vibrations followed by one long vibration confirm a successful pair.
3. Configure vehicle settings
Set the following, rotating the throttle wheel to navigate and pressing Power to confirm each one:
- Speed unit
- Motor type
- Wheel diameter
- Drive ratio
- Motor pole pairs
- Brake strength
